2018 Scrapbooking Goals and Plans

My Goal:

During the last four years, I have done very little scrapbooking. My life has been crazy busy…crazy good but crazy busy…and scrapbooking has not been a priority for me. I have missed it greatly, though, and have set one, simple scrapbooking goal for myself in 2018.  This year, I will scrapbook for at least thirty minutes every single day. This could include editing photos, designing layout templates on my computer, creating die cuts, typing up journaling or inking background papers. The point is simply to make a little bit of progress on a consistent and regular basis. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.

My Plans:

Although, I have almost four years of photographs that I would like to scrapbook, I am going to start by working on a 2018 family album and scrapbook events as they happen. I will work on other layouts and projects as I have time, but my 2018 album will be my priority.

My 2018 album will consist of 12″x12″ traditional layouts. I have tried a few other formats in the past, but traditional layouts are my favorite. I always feel very inspired to create traditional layouts, and I always enjoy the process. I’ve been scrapbooking for a long time, and I know my style. I like to combine lots of different colors and patterns on my layouts, and I like to include lots of handmade die cuts and embellishments. My layouts can take a long time to create, but I truly enjoy the process of creating them.

I will be sharing my scrapbook layouts here on my blog, on my facebook page, and on my brand new instagram account. However, I will no longer be creating video tutorials for the time being. I have greatly enjoyed creating scrapbooking tutorials over the years, but they are very time-consuming to create and they are just not realistic for me during this busy period in my life. I may film an occasional video here or there but they will not be a regular thing. I am very happy to share information about my projects, so if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to comment or message me on any of my social media accounts and I will be more than happy to help you out.

I am very excited about the upcoming new year and would love to hear all about your goals and intentions for 2018! Do you have any special goals or projects that you will be working on in 2018?

People often ask where do I start when it comes to scrapbooking and I always tell them, sort your photos and you will find out where you want to start. I do the same thing, I will start with current project and work backwards when I have time.

    You are my scrapbook hero!
