Patches of Pink Design Team Project – Holiday Card Holder

Today, at Patches of Pink our theme is Christmas! For my project, I created a holiday card holder to display all of my holiday cards. I began with a 8″x13″ piece of chipboard and created a fun Christmas scene. I punched two holes in the chipboard and added some twine in order to hang the card holder and hot glued three ribbons to the bottom in order to attach the cards. The cards are attached to the ribbon with clothespins.
All of the cuts on this card holder were cut from the Cricut Jolly Holidays cartridge. Santa’s sleigh was cut at 4″, the reindeer at 3.75″, the house at 6.25″, the phase at 2.5″ and the trees at 5″, 4″ 2.5″ and 2.25″ respectively.
I popped most of my cuts up on foam and added several thicknesses of foam on some cuts to create a three dimensional effect.
Products used:
Cricut cartridges: Jolly Holidays
Fiskars Apron Lace border punch
Paper: K&Company – Elizabeth Brownd, Colorbok glitter paper and Recollections cardstock
