Time for another Whimsical Wednesday’s Challenge! This week is Challenge #18 – Back to School. I chose this week’s theme and we’ve decided to do something a little different. Instead of creating cards and scrapbook layouts this week, we’re creating back to school projects in honor of all the teachers, students and office staff heading back to the classroom over the next few weeks. For my project, I created a 2011-2012 School Calendar! This is a 8.5″x11″ calendar book that I created. I recently purchased a binding machine and I have been obsessed with creating books.
The sun, clouds and schoolhouse are cut from the Cricut Pop-Up Neighborhood cartridge…
…the bus is cut from the My Community cartridge…
…and the font is cut from the Kate’s ABCs cartridge using the shadow feature.
The inside covers of the book are lined with an awesome chalkboard print paper from Momenta’s All Through the Year paper stack.
The calendar pages were printed from templates I found online.
Finally, the back cover features the same polka-dot printed paper from the front cover.
Please stop by and check out all the other wonderful Back to School projects that the Whimsical Wednesday
Design Team members have created and be sure to link your projects up as well!
