Vintage Dress Form Birthday Card

Edit: The project was featured in the May 31, 2011 issue of the Cricut Chirp!

Today, I am sharing a romantic, vintage-style birthday card. I started with a standard 5″x7″ card and layered it with designer paper. The background frame was cut from the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge at 5.25″ and wrapped with twine, and the corner pieces were cut from the Storybook Cricut cartridge at 1.5″. The dress form was cut from the Summer in Paris Cricut cartridge at 5.75″, and I adhered several layers of lace to create a tiered skirt. The sentiment frame was also cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge at 2.25″. All of the cuts were inked and popped up on foam for added dimension.

Products used:
Cricut cartridges: Summer in Paris, Elegant Edges and Storybook
K&Company Amy Butler Lotus Greeting Clear Stamp Set
Paper – K&Company – Life’s Journey and Recollections cardstock

  1. I just LOVE LOVE AND LOVE all your work. Thank you so very much for putting the sizes and paper lines you use. It makes me feel like I might be able to create something as beautiful as you do. I do not have a creative bone in my body. LOL If you don't mind I would love to scrap lift a project of yours. Again I just think all your work is beautiful and please keep posting. Hugs

  4. I love this card. It does look so vintage and that is one of the things that I like. But, I like that you used the lace and pearls embellishments on the card also. Your work is so beautiful. Great job!
