This week I’m the featured guest designer for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog’s Challenge #61 – Blue Skies! The challenge was to create a project with the color blue and at least one cloud shape. I was really excited about this prompt because I love to create scene layouts and I’m very happy with the way this project turned out.
This is a standard 12″x12″ double layout featuring three 4″x4″ photo mats and one 4″x6″ photo mat. I used the Martha Stewart Vintage Floral punches to create a doily frame and adhered it to an orange cardstock background. All of the paper used in this layout is from the My Mind’s Eye “Where the Heart Is” paper stack.
The title was cut from the American Alphabet cartridge at 2″ and 2.5″ respectively.
The sun was cut from the Mickey and Friends cartridge at 3″ and the clouds were cut from the Serenade cartridge at 2″. The bird was also cut from the Serenade cartridge at 2″.
The tree was cut from the Serenade cartridge at 8″ and the house was cut from the Sugar and Spice cartridge at 5.5″. Both layers of grass were cut from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge at 2.25″, layered and trimmed to fit.
The second tree was cut from the Serenade cartridge at 8.5″. The owl, nest and kite were all cut from the Sugar and Spice cartridge at 1.75″, .75″ and 3.5″ respectively.
The wagon was cut from the Sugar and Spice cartridge at 1.75″ and the small grass tufts were cut from the Create a Critter cartridge at 1.5″ and 1.75″. All cuts have been inked and popped up on foam.
I hope you enjoy this project and please stop by the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to see all the other projects and entries.
